Do humanities graduates have the edge in the job market?

This is a very interesting article from the Guardian newspaper which looks at humanities graduates and the excellent skills which make them very competitive in today's job market.

UK research looked at UK leaders from a range of professions including financial CEO's, Members of parliament, partners of big law firms and chancellors of leading univerisites. From those surveyed 60% of them had humanities degrees.

So why is humanities so great?

It is less about the content you learn and more about the super skills you acquire such as:

1. Building a balanced argument
2. Making connections between ideas.
3. Analysing and interpreting data.
4. Research and writing sills.
5. The ability to embrace change.
