Starfish - an example of the value of our biosphere



Year 10, this is a great example of the value that our biosphere has to offer us and another key reason why we should conserve it. Can you find any more good examples to bring to next lesson?



A spiny starfish found in waters off the North of Scotland is said to be the key to finding a new treatment for conditions such as asthma, hay fever and arthritus.



It is thought by scientists that chemicals in the slimy goo that covers their bodies could inspire new medicines.

I read some thing about this, The scientists are also finding the cure for cancer by the Octopus blood, and They are very near of their results.
