Year 12 work to be getting on with

Hey Year 12!

Hope you are all ok. Obviously missing school at the moment is not ideal and with the examinations looming in a few months, it is important to continue to get through the course. I will therefore post some work for you on here to be getting on with which I would like you to have completed when we get back.

Here is this weeks work...

1) You have your TNC lesson/ PPT to be getting on with which you will present on our first lesson all back together. Work on this first.

2) You need to know the impact of globalisation on population movements world wide. Globalisation has led to an unprecedented increase in voluntary and economic population movements. Study some of the examples below.

The open door migration between EU nations

Read the above article and summarise in your notes to identify the key features of the open door policy of the EU states.

The ease of movement of the International elite (e.g. surgeons, bankers, footballers, musicians, actors)

Ron Harris - England
Stewart Houston - Scotland
Paddy Mulligan - Ireland
Peter Houseman - England
John Hollins - England
Keith Weller - England
Tommy Baldwin - England

Eddie Mcready - Scotland

TASK - All of the 1970 squad for Chelse were British. What about now as globalisation has increased? List 11 of the current Chelsea squad in your notes and the countries that they come from. How has globalisation affected the movement of the footballing elite?
